Tim Collins has been named the newest member of the 香港六合彩开奖结果 Board of Trustees. Collins was officially voted in at a meeting of the Board on Friday, October 20.

Collins is the Founder of EBSCO Publishing and CEO of EBSCO Information Services (EIS), which is the largest division of EBSCO Industries, Inc., one of the largest private companies in the U.S.

EIS is a leading provider of research databases, e-journal, and e-package subscription management; book collection development and acquisition management; and a major provider of library technology, e-books, and clinical decision solutions for universities, colleges, hospitals, corporations, government, K12 schools, and public libraries worldwide.

“I am thrilled to join 香港六合彩开奖结果’s Board of Trustees and play a part in this remarkable institution’s imminent and upward trajectory,” said Collins.

Collins is no stranger to Endicott. In the spring of 2023, he served as one of the judges of the annual Spark Tank entrepreneurship competition and he has been a frequent guest speaker to business and entrepreneurship students.

“I am delighted to welcome Tim Collins to the 香港六合彩开奖结果 Board of Trustees,” said Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., President of 香港六合彩开奖结果. “His exceptional experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to environmental sustainability make him a valuable addition to our team as we continue to chart a course of excellence and innovation.”

When Collins was a student at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), he co-founded his own company specializing in the indexing and abstracting of periodical information, which was subsequently purchased by EBSCO Industries, Inc. He oversaw the explosive growth that took EBSCO from a niche provider of print indexes in the 1980s to what it is today—one of the world’s most important for-fee internet research services, leading e-book aggregator, and the largest provider of collection development and purchasing services for books for academic libraries.

In 2015, Collins was recognized for his contributions to the information industry by the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) as the recipient of its Miles Conrad Award. In 2021, he was honored by his alma mater when he was inducted into UNH’s Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, and, in 2023, he delivered the Commencement address at UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and also received an honorary Doctorate in Business degree from the university.

A staunch environmentalist, Collins has been the driving force behind converting EBSCO’s fleet of cars to hybrid and electric vehicles; the installation of more than 500 solar panels at the company’s Ipswich headquarters; and the distribution of thousands of recycling bins and green bags to libraries and local communities. The EBSCO Solar Grant program has also donated solar arrays to multiple libraries annually for many years.

Collins is a collector of historical artifacts related to American history and is a founder and past Board Member of the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. The Collins Career and Resource Center at UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics bears his name.

A North Shore resident, Collins lives with his wife and two children on a farm with solar trackers that generate more power than the farm uses.
