Endicott Keeps Growing!

January 7, 2016

If you’ve been watching Endicott in the news or on social media lately, you may have noticed that we’ve had quite a few construction projects and improvements going on! Read more for a look at what we’ve recently opened and what is to come.

Raymond J. Bourque Arena

The Raymond J. Bourque Arena is the new home of our men’s and women’s ice hockey teams as well as community and student programs. It’s so exciting to be able to offer this great resource for both our students and the Beverly community after more than 10 years of trying to partner with city and local groups to bring an ice arena to the area! We’ve already hosted many games, from Gulls hockey to Beverly High School and youth teams.

During Homecoming and Family Weekend on October 3rd, the College dedicated the 10 million dollar facility to NHL legend and 21-year veteran for the Boston Bruins, Raymond J. Bourque.

With the construction of the Raymond J. Bourque Arena, Endicott moves from 12 years as a club hockey team to an NCAA Division III intercollegiate ice hockey program for both men and women.

In addition to Gulls hockey, the rink will provide space for area youth leagues, daily public skate hours for 香港六合彩开奖结果 and the greater community, adult drop-in hockey, freestyle figure skating, youth and high school sports programs, indoor practice space, space for concerts and community events, and student activities.

The 40,572 square foot building arena can seat approximately 1,000 guests and has four locker rooms, space for athletic trainers, a training room, and office space as well as a hospitality center. For more information on the arena and schedules, visit our .

Standish Hall

A new residence hall, Standish Hall, opened its doors to students this fall. The units in Standish are each equipped with two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and laundry machines. Standish houses approximately 300 upper-class students in four or six-person units with double and single bedrooms.

One of the remarkable things about Standish is how quickly it was constructed, all thanks to using the method of modular construction. Modular means the individual units are constructed offsite and trucked in to be assembled together under a unifying structure on-site. The hall had 130 units built by Ritz-Craft Corporation. You can read more about how the modular process was implemented on the website of the project architect, Bergmeyer Associates.
