Celebrating Earth Month at Endicott

It鈥檚 a popular activity to 鈥榞o green鈥 on Earth Day, April 19, to show positive efforts of conservation and preservation. We鈥檙e going further, embracing the year-round commitment to environmentalism that Endicott values and stretching special events to the entire month of April, or 鈥楨arth Month鈥.Earth Month

Endicott is participating in a bike drive by asking the public to donate used bikes to Bikes Not Bombs, a Boston based non-profit organization. All types of bikes (no tricycles) and sizes as well as accessories and parts are welcome. The bike drive will be held on Saturday, April 23 in the Public Safety parking lot from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The 7th Annual Endicott Environmental Society Energy Summit was held on Tuesday, April 19th in the Klebanoff Auditorium located in the Ginger Judge Life Science building. This year鈥檚 Energy Summit feature a panel discussion: 鈥淒ecarbonizing the Grid鈥. The panelists were: Mike Giaimo, External/Legislative Affairs, ISO New England; Paul Gallant, Shift Operations Manager at Entergy Corporation; and Dr. Matthew Staffier, Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science at 香港六合彩开奖结果. Our moderator was Dr. Mari Butler, also a Professor of Environmental Science at Endicott.

Weeklong Earth Day Celebrations:

Zero Waste BBQ: Wednesday, April 20th at the ponds starting at 4:45pm for dinner service to all students. Everything at this event will be compostable! This is a large collaboration between Sodexo and Sustainable Endicott.

Bike Drive: April 23rd near Campus Safety from 10-2. Students and community members can donate bikes to be used to reduce gas emissions.

Earth Day Celebration: April 23rd at Ponds from 1-5.pm. This event is hosted by the Endicott Environmental Society (student led group).
