Gloucester, MA – Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û is pleased to announce the Student and Faculty art exhibition Synthesis IV which will be held at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center in Gloucester from Thursday, October 19 – Sunday, November 12, 2017. A gallery reception will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 2 – 4 p.m., free and open to the public. The Rocky Neck Cultural Center is located at 6 Wonson Street, Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Synthesis IV includes works by faculty and students from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û’s School of Visual and Performing Arts. Each of the faculty members were asked to invite a student from their major to participate in this exhibition. Faculty members participating in this exhibition are:
Carol Pelletier, Cynthia Roberts, Kyungmin Park, Maria Cusumano, Miles Warner, Larry Volk, Michael Miller, Mark Towner, Sandy Farrier and Myoung Joo Chun. Students participating are: Caroline Casey, Lindsay Dieterich, Danielle Fretwell, Hope Salamone, Sydney Sheehan, Christina Bouzane, Nicole Noonan, and Paige Greeley.
The many media included are drawings, ceramics, paintings, photography, graphic design, interior design/architectural drawings, and installation. According to Dean Mark Towner: “There is a long history of exhibiting art by students alongside their professors’ art. The process reveals interesting patterns of media, style, and subject, and the end result provides multiple actions and dynamic reactions, to form a more complex picture: A synthesis most worthy of examination and the titling of this exhibit.”
Please join us on Saturday, October 21, from 2 – 4 p.m. as we celebrate with a gallery reception. Many of the students and faculty in the exhibition will be in attendance. If you have any questions regarding the exhibition and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û, please contact Kathleen Moore at 978-232-2655, or kmoore@endicott.edu.
