Through courses taught this week at 香港六合彩开奖结果, Massachusetts and New Hampshire police officers and college campus employees became certified instructors of R.A.D. Basic Physical Defense and Aerosol Defense Options courses. After receiving certification to teach the proven R.A.D. defensive concepts, these new instructors can now lead courses in their communities and college campuses to help create safer spaces for women.

The Self-Defense Program is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Taught by Pat Iapicca, of Realistic Defense Options, the course is designed to “establish an accessible, constantly improving and internationally respected alliance of dedicated Instructors. These instructors in turn, will provide educational opportunities for women, children, men and seniors to create a safer future for themselves. In doing this, we challenge society to evolve into an existence where violence is not an acceptable part of daily life.”

The R.A.D. Systems curriculum is taught at more than 400 colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. The objective of R.A.D is to develop and enhance the options of self-defense for women, and to teach women to take an active role in their own safety and psychological well-being.

Endicott will be hosting a R.A.D. Student Course for students, faculty and staff on February 21, 22, 27 and 28.  For more information or to sign-up for this course, contact Lt. Jason Erickson at 978-816-7644 or jerickso@endicott.edu.
