Cara Stevens M鈥�24 Wins IIDA NE Student Design Award
Interior architecture major Cara Stevens M’24 was honored with 1st place in the student design category at this year’s IIDA NE Design Awards, held September 12 at the SoWa Power Station in Boston.
IIDA NE—International Interior Design Association New England—is a robust network of interior designers, supporting the continued advancement of professional, industry, educator, and student members.
Stevens triumphed with her thesis project design, ‘One Tree Hill,’ a 24-hour center for young adults experiencing homelessness. This year’s competition included entries from top schools like RISD, BAC, UMass, and Wentworth, among several others.
“Cara’s achievement not only showcases her exceptional talent and dedication, but also brings great pride and recognition to our department,” said Myoung Joo Chun, Director of Graduate Interior Architecture Programs at Endicott. “Her success story is an inspiring example of what can be achieved with passion, resilience, and a supportive community.”
The award ceremony was attended by a thousand professionals from the architectural design community. In total, three Endicott students (two graduate and one undergraduate) were named among five finalists.
This win marks Endicott’s second time winning the award, following an achievement by Seungeun Lee M’22 in 2021.
“This consistency of excellence reflects the strength of our program, the quality of our curriculum, and the unwavering support and mentorship our faculty provide to our students,” said Chun.
