    Master of Science in Healthcare (36 Credits)

    The Master of Science in Healthcare Management (MSHCM) degree program is designed for individuals who wish to work or are currently working in management positions in a wide variety of medical and healthcare institutions. The 36-credit program presents a practitioner-focused curriculum that includes critical knowledge, competencies, techniques and skills necessary to lead and work effectively within the healthcare industry.

    Students will acquire current skills in key healthcare management areas including; leadership, data analytics, finance, technology, operation and quality improvement, and strategy that are critical variables in establishing, managing and leading a successful healthcare organization. Students will develop and demonstrate critical competencies, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement that will enable them to contribute to the growth, quality, and evolution of the rapidly growing healthcare industry.

    Admission procedures and requirements for our master's programs.

    Admission to an Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û graduate program requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.

    General Application Requirements for all Master's Programs

    To be considered for admission to one of Endicott's master's programs, you must submit the following materials. Alternatively, you may submit the following to: Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û, 376 Hale Street, Beverly, MA 01915. 

    • Completed  and non-refundable $50 application fee (check made payable to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û). Application fee waived for Endicott Alumni and veteran & military students.
    • One letter of recommendation.This recommendation can be from either a professional or academic reference. 
    • Official transcripts of all post-secondary academic work should be sent directly from the institution(s) including confirmation of undergraduate degree, date confirmed, and any other graduate work.
    • Personal statement. Please include an essay of 250–500 on career goals and motivation for graduate study.

    Learning Outcomes

    Upon completion of the program, students will:

    • Analyze and think critically about current and emerging issues in the healthcare system and the policy environment in which the system operates
    • Analyze current events and trends in healthcare management using relevant data and historical trends
    • Demonstrate various knowledge and attributes of leadership and management in healthcare organizations
    • Demonstrate sound business principles and practices in the delivery of quality healthcare in leadership, finance, technology, operation and quality improvement, and strategy
    • Analyze and understand the ethical implications of decision making

Specialize in one of these concentrations:

  • Health Informatics
    Focus on the organization, storage, and use of information such as patient records. Learn to help medical practices optimize their record-keeping so patients retain privacy and information is easily accessible, helping the organization run as efficiently as possible.
  • Operations Management
    Learn the skills and knowledge to help healthcare organizations reach their goals through efficiently managing all the moving parts―including employees, patient records, professional knowledge, marketing, and finances.
  • Public Administration
    Work to spread the word within a community about disease prevention, environmental hazards that can affect a person’s health, and treatment of various common health problems.
  • Information Technology Management
    Hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other healthcare organizations are quickly moving toward computerized record keeping. Be a part of the growing demand for educated professionals who are able to come up with new ways to maintain patient records, balance department budgets, and accomplish other administrative tasks with more efficiency.
